My name is Kendra Lock. I am currently attending SAIT Polytechnic for my last year. For the past four years I have worked with the fine arts like drama and other arts like ceramics, drawing and painting. I have also worked with computers for those same four years. I am pursuing a career as a video-game designer but my main goal is to get my ideas out to the world. Reflections

I have always wanted to work hard but there is one characteristic of my personality that keeps me looking forward into the future. That simple quality is creative thinking. A creative thinker uses other pieces of work, some new ideas and creates something totally new with some things from the origin in mind. A creative thinker is what I am and it makes me who I want to be. I show my work in my own unique way and come up with new ideas in my own way too. I am constantly thinking of new ideas for my works and even look back on something of the past to find out what I could've done better. A creative thinker is my most important personal quality.

We are always learning new things even when we were just small babies. That makes us life-long learners. If we weren't learning new things we would not ready to enter the world of today. We are not small children anymore; we are young adults ready to enter the real world. Everyone even adults make mistakes but life-long learners learn from these mistakes and make changes to cope with these small errors. Life-long learning is always present whether you're five, fifteen or fifty. We always start out small but we always look to the future for better and brighter ideas.

My goal for my career is to become a video-game designer. I have already done some work in my past in order to prepare for my future. To make this become possible, I've started work part-time at a McDonalds in Midnapore. There was also a summer camp called Real Programming 4 Kids. I took that course in July 2007 and developed a video game similar to Donkey Kong. I took a course at my high school that deals with media design and web-design. I am currently finishing my final year at SAIT in the New Media Production and Design program. Hopefully this experience can get me far. It has prepared me for my future in video-game design.

I'll have to work hard, but I know I can succeed. I will follow this path for the next few years until I can work for a major company that does video games for a living like Nintendo or EA Games. A video game designer is my dream and goal in my career.
